Here’s an opportunity to acquire a racing Ducati with an excellent racing pedigree.
In fact this is the 996 RS from 1999 with which Troy Bayliss won the British Superbike Championship.
The complete history of this bike is known. Sold new at the start of by Ducati’s racing department to the English team, GSE Racing for use in the British Superbike Championships. Troy Bayliss the team’s Australian rider subsequently won the championship that year.
At the start of 2000 the bike was sold to Ducati France (documents available) to race in the French Superbike Championship with French rider Frédéric Protat at the controls. The rider with this bike subsequently won the French Championship in 2000 and 2001.
Later sold in 2002 to a French collector this bike is sold with a certificate of authenticity supplied by Ducati France.
The bike has recently completed a full overhaul and is in perfect running condition and is now available in France. Some additional spares are also included with the bike.
