Japanese bike maker Yamaha VMAX in India. The company also announced launch of limited edition models Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle system, YCC-T and Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake system, YCC-I developed in line with Yamaha’s G.E.N.I.C.H. engineering ideal.
"India is one of the key markets for Yamaha. We are constantly shifting gears to transform the market from utility to and lifestyle. With the launch of all-new VMAX, Yamaha Motor India CEO Yukimine Tsuji. The new bike is priced at Rs. 20 lakh and above (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Yamaha already sells two super bikes in India - 670cc MT01 and 998cc bike YZF-R1 which are priced above Rs. 12 lakh. "While we do not expect sale of many units, we believe there is a set of enthusiasts in India which is interested in brands like the VMAX. This is like a dream bike for them, something like a Porsche is in cars," Tsuji said.
