Honda RS 1000 Works Bike

when Honda took the decision to compete in international endurance racing, they proclaimed: Honda enters. Honda wins! In order to make good on this proclamation, Honda constructed one of the most potent racing motorcycles of all time, the all-conquering Honda RCB. Built on the foundation of the venerable CB 750 first introduced in '69, which is to say, on the 750's lower engine structure and components, the RCB went through continual technical development from '76 to '79 and experimentation of every kind. The RCBs tested the design and engineering of new frames and suspension, wheels (invention of the Comstar) and brakes, fairing styles, and of course, of the engine. This experimentation greatly informed the design of the next generation of Honda four-cylinder roadgoing motorcycles - the CB 750, 900, and 1100 F's and the CB 1100R. Entering 24 races and winning 21, the RCB took the endurance championship. The Honda RS 1000 was the final version of the RCB and utilized a preproduction DOHC engine that would propel new Honda superbikes to new successes on roads and tracks all over the world.
Extremely rare Honda RS 1000 (works bike) from 2005 is the final version of the official RCB series that won several titles in the European Endurance Championship.
The history of the presented bike is fully known, it’s complete and in excellent working order.
Now available in Europe with technical documentation.

Sanvenero 125 GP

This rare Sanvenero 125 GP is one of only three works bikes produced by Sanvenero in 1982.
This is an official works team bike with aluminium frame, not to be confused with the few privateer racers with tube frame produced in 80 and 81. The for that time avantgardist decoration of this bike was created by the famous designer Aldo Drudi, who designs all helmets and bikes of Valentino Rossi since many years. The decoration of the Sanvenero was the first bike designed by Aldo Drudi
One of the three official bikes was destroyed in an accident during the GP of Bresil (due to fire), another one was sold a few years ago via our company to a South American collector and one is known to be part of an Italian collection, but that’s a recent recreation.
This is the only authentic period 125 Sanvenero GP currently available on the market.

The history of the bike is fully known from its production in 1982. The bike is complete, in original configuration and runs perfectly.
This is one of the two official bikes raced by the works riders Ricardo Tormo and Pier Paolo Bianchi during the 1982 World Championship 125 cc.
With these works bikes, Bianchi obtained the 4th overall place in the world championship 1982 and Ricardo Tormo achieved a global 5th rang with victories in the GP of Belgium and Sweden.
Technical specifications and the racing history are available below the pictures.

This very rare Sanvenero GP is available in France.

BMW RS 54 Rennsport Type 256

One of the most mythical competition bikes of the 50s, the fabulous BMW 500 Rennsport.
The here presented bike is exceptional in several points: This is not only likely to be one of the very rare works type 256 with only 8 examples ever produced, but on top of it this one is in an exceptional running condition. It is frequently ridden by its owner during classic bike events.
In the 50s, the BMW factory produced 25 RS 54 type 253 and 8 type 256.
The works type 256 shows the following differences to the privateer RS 54 type 253:
* Oversquare engine (70 x 64.5),
* Dell’Orto 37 mm carburettors with separate float chambers,
* Double ignition (4 spark plugs),
* Earles forks with a straight rear section (instead of bended),
* 5 speed transmission,
* transmission shaft parallel to the swing arm,
* hydraulic rear brakes,
* front mud-guard fixed on the frame.

The exact history and palmarès of this bike are unknown. The famous rider Walter Zeller, official BMW racer from 1951 to 1956, rode the type 256 with success:
German Champion 500 in 1951, 54 and 55.
Vice World Champion 500 in 1956 behind John Surtess and the MV.
Walter Zeller stopped competition beginning 1957. He participated in historic races in Europe from 1979 to 1988 with his loyal mechanic Gustl Lachermeier, who accompanied him throughout his career at the BMW race department.
Gustl restored and prepared two marvellous bikes: a 1946 RS Kompressor and a Rennsport type 256 a with an oversquare engine from 1968.
Following the owner of this Rennsport, it was also Gustl Lachermeier, who restored this bike in the 80s and it was used by Walter Zeller in historic races.

This extremely rare bike is available in Germany.

Motor Bikes

A motorcycle or motor bike is a single-track, two-wheeled motor vehicle powered by an engine. Styles of motorcycles (i.e Street Bikes) vary depending on the task for which they are designed, such as long distance travel, navigating congested urban traffic, cruising, sport and racing, or off-road conditions. Motorcycles are among the least expensive and most widespread forms of motorised transport in many parts of the world.

Mini Choppers

Mini choppers are scaled-down versions of the custom-built motorcycles known as choppers and are generally constructed from 1" steel tubing or 3/4" steel black pipe. The tube or pipe is bent and then welded together to get the desired angles and shapes of the frame, which is usually custom made.

Mini choppers often use bicycle or moped rims and tires up front and large pneumatic tires in the rear. Commonly golf cart wheels or 205/50-10 style tires are used in the back. The rear also needs something to let the wheel spin, and that's where that axle comes in. There are two different types of axle setups used, a live and a dead axle.

Mini Bikes

A minibike, also known as a mini moto or pocketbike, is a miniaturized version of a motorcycle. Traditional minibikes usually use four stroke motors that power a chain to turn the rear wheel. These four stroke motors are similar to a lawnmower, but not identical. The main difference is the shaft direction. A minibike requires a horizontal shaft while a lawnmower uses a vertical shaft. Contrary to popular belief, old lawnmower engines cannot be used to make a minibike since the crankshaft is oriented in a vertical position instead of a horizontal position like a minibike would need. Some models may use two stroke motors although electric-powered models are also available. The 2-stroke motor produces a loud, whining buzz and a more polluting cloud of smoke as exhaust if not properly tuned. These features, along with the minibike's tiny size, mean that minibikes are almost never street-legal.

Bikes from Yamaha

Yamaha is aiming its guns at the numero uno position in the bike segment in India. Rumors are doing rounds that the company intends to roll out two new bikes next month. There is no confirmed news about the same and the company is still tight-lipped about it.

One of the models coming up next month is expected to be from the Fazer series while the other one is expected to be a CBU unit like R1. The company also intends to expand its dealer outlets in India taking the total to 550 across India.

Yamaha has been witnessing a continuous growth in its sales figures since past few months. To the company’s delight, customers have gladly accepted the new products whenever they were launched and the sales figures have grown remarkably. Yamaha is also bullish on its FZ-16 platform and has rolled out variants like Fazer and FZ-S.

“We are overwhelmed by the customer response to recently introduced Fazer which is fast catching the imagination of biking and touring aficionado. This further propels us to focus on superior technology, manufacturing excellence and dynamism,” said Yukimine Tsuji, CEO & MD, India Yamaha Motor. Honda and Bajaj Superbikes

Eying a big potential for luxury bikes in India, where tastes are changing from mass-market machines to high-end bikes, Honda and Bajaj are looking at launching new sportsbikes in the country in the next couple of months.

There had been a sudden surge in the number of International Sportsbikes brands entering the Indian market, over the past two years. Initially the trend was set by Kinetic with the launch of the 250cc, v-twin-powered Hyosung Comet in India back in 2005. Then it was Yamaha, which launched the Yamaha R1 in India and the MT-01 cruiser in 2007. Soon later followed by the Italian motorcycle giant Ducati, who launched an array of superbikes costing up to almost 50 lakhs, and finally Suzuki joined the superbike bandwagon in late-2008, with its Hayabusa superbike and the Intruder cruiser.

Honda,Bajaj don’t want to be left out in the Superbike Race
Keeping with that trend, Honda and Bajaj don’t want to be left behind. Honda now intends to provide some competition to the Yamaha R1and the Suzuki Hayabusa by launching the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade in India, in the first quarter of this year, and following will be a naked version of the bike (pictured below).

Honda also plans to launch the Honda CB1000R in India alongside it. Both bikes are expected to be priced at around Rs 9.5-10.5 lakhs, making them slightly cheaper alternatives to the R1 and the Hayabusa.

is planning to introduce its high-end Motorrad motorcycles in the country. Peter Kronschnabl, President of BMW India, said that the company is currently analysing the market situation and will take a decision depending on whether or not it is a viable option to bring its luxury bikes to India. Motorrad bikes will be priced at over Rs 10 lakh. At present, the premium bike market in the country is limited to 500 units, but there is a good chance that it will grow in the future. Superbike models that already have a presence in India include the Suzuki Hayabusa, Honda’s 1000RR Fireblade and CBR 1000R and Yamaha’s MT01 and R1.

Carbon-Fiber Motorcycles

If you have a serious need for two-wheeled speed (and about $160,000 burning a hole in your pocket), there’s a custom-made all-carbon fiber Ducati 999S for sale at Jameslist. The ultra-luxe motorcycle is in Switzerland, but it was modified by BeFaster in Hanover, Germany.

The carbon fiber Ducati 999S features a 1037 cc tuned engine with 170 horsepower. Its light body gives the Ducati the ability to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds.

Italian Luxury Bikes

The MV Agusta F4CC is a staggering sport bike developed by designer Massimo Tamburini along with Claudio Castiglioni, the director of MV Augusta.

Sleek, aggressive lines, a robust frame and unique details compose the bespoke one-off motorcycle. With every material hand picked and 90% of its components tailor made, the titanium and carbon fiber sport bike boasts a 200hp engine and an invigorating top speed of 195mph. And to match this impressive Massimo Tamburini design, each lucky owner will also receive a Girard-Perregaux Swiss watch along with a limited edition Trussardi leather jacket.

With only 100 models to hit the market, the hand-crafted motorcycle is intended for true sport bike enthusiasts; naturally, though, the richest among them. Dubbed the most expensive in the world, the MV Agusta F4CC will bear a price tag of 100,000 Euros, or approximately $130,000.

he F4CC was conceived by MV Augusta director Claudio Castiglioni himself and bears his initials. "I decided to put my name to this bike as I originally dreamed of it for myself,' he says. And with a kerb weight of 412 lbs., it costs twice as much per pound as a Ferrari. (mymodernmet)

Ducati Desmosedici RR - The Red Bull

Most sportbikes were born at the track. Whether it's a 600cc middleweight or a heavy-hitting liter bike, they all feature fancy trickle down race technology. Naturally, there have been compromises made for the street and to keep prices within an acceptable range, but their performance still far exceeds what many of us ever dreamed was possible even a few years ago.

Frequent revisions to the engine and chassis help sportbikes reflect the mods made in the racing world, but some feel the end is near both in tunability and legality. Sooner rather than later there's likely to be legislative measures limiting power to weight ratios and outright performance.

But then the Ducati Desmosedici comes along and flips its big red finger to the man.

This is a machine that only three years ago was the pinnacle of two-wheeled performance; a prototype race machine that only a few privileged racers would ever get to throw a leg over. Yet today you might spot one at a bike night or during a Sunday morning ride.

How's that possible? Ducati decided to make the dream come true and produced 1500 street legal versions of its GP6 MotoGP racer. OK, so the engine isn't tuned to the gills, nor does it come with carbon brakes and slick tires, but otherwise it's the real deal: From the 16-inch Magnesium rear wheel to the 200 horsepower V4 motor, it's all business.

Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird

The CBR1100XX was the culmination of Honda's ambitious effort to produce the ultimate superbike with a breathtaking performance. The unique design of the Blackbird facilitates excellent aerodynamics by achieving a small frontal area and one of the lowest effective coefficients of drag in motorcycling, while ensuring a remarkably high level of wind protection and rider comfort.

The CBR's liquid-cooled, 16-valve DOHC inline-four cylinder 1137cc engine generates a peak power of 153 bhp at 10000 rpm. On the braking front, Honda's revolutionary Linked Braking System (LBS), first used in the 1993 CBR1000F and completely revised on the 1996 ST1100, simultaneously engages both front and rear brakes when either the front brake lever or rear brake pedal is used.

The CBR's dual-spar diamond-configuration aluminum frame features a triple-box-section extruded aluminum swingarm that offers exceptional rigidity without excessive size and weight. The swingarm is supported by a standard Honda Pro-Link rear suspension system which features an H.M.A.S. rear damper.

Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja

With the Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja, Kawasaki plunged into the high-performance sportbike war raging among the Japanese motorcycle manufacturers. The Ninja's liquid-cooled, 1199cc DOHC, 16-valve 4-cylinder engine generates a peak power of 178 bhp at 10500 rpm.

The Kawasaki Ninja's revolutionary all-aluminium monocoque frame and cast steering swingarm pivot areas realise an extremely stiff structure and contribute to the bike's superb high-speed stability and supersport handling performance.

The ZX12R's wind-tunnel designed fairing was developed with help from Kawasaki's aircraft division and the redesigned upper cowl has a shorter nose for improved aerodynamics and a sportier look. In honour of an agreement reached among Japanese manufacturers, starting with 2001 models, Kawasaki introduced speed limiters in the ZX-12R to reduce the bike's top speed to 300 km/h.

Yamaha YZF R1

The Yamaha YZF-R1 bike, launched in 1998, revolutionized the sportbike landscape by successfully combining the awesome power available previously in the true liter class (1,000cc) with the lightweight and responsiveness that a 600-class chassis affords.

Over the years, despite maintaining its distinctive sharp look, the R1 has undergone technical upgradations to keep pace with the times. The 2006 edition features a short-stroke 998cc DOHC, 20-valve, liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine that produces a peak power of 175 bhp.

The dual-valve fuel injection system uses motor-driven secondary throttle valves and 32-bit ECU for responsive, instantaneous power delivery. The refurbished Deltabox V frame, revised forks and a 20mm longer swingarm facilitate superb handling in the R1.

In 2006, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Yamaha racing in America, Yamaha released a Limited Edition yellow/white/black YZF-R1 in original Yamaha racing colours.

Suzuki Hayabusa

Suzuki introduced the sportbike Suzuki GSX1300R, popularly known as the Hayabusa, in 1999. Since its inception the Suzuki Hayabusa was widely regarded as the fastest production motorcycle in the world until major Japanese motorcycle manufacturers voluntarily imposed speed regulators in their bikes.

The Hayabusa derives its name from the Japanese term for the Peregrine Falcon, the fastest creature on the planet with speeds in excess of 300 km/h in its hunting dive. The Hayabusa's 4-stroke, four-cylinder liquid-cooled 1299cc engine enables it to generate an enormous peak power of 175 bhp at 9800 rpm and reach from 0-100 km/h in three seconds flat.

The Hayabusa's roaring success prompted other motorcycle manufacturers to come up with similar speed merchants like the BMW K1200S and the Kawasaki ZX-14R.
