Kawasaki

Kawasaki Bajaj launched its new super premium bike Ninja 250R in the Indian market priced at Rs. 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). It will be available in two colours – Ebony Black and Lime Green and will deliver a mileage of 42.kmpl. It will be competing with bikes from Yamaha and Suzuki in India.

Kawasaki Ninja from Japan is one of the smaller capacity sports bike around the world. Indian model of Ninja 250R is according to European specifications and carries fuel injection technology. The fuel injection unit ensures smoother acceleration along with the six-speed transmission unit. Ninja 250R uses telescopic fork suspension and uni-trak suspension at the front and the rear respectively.

It will be imported as CKD from Kawasaki’s Thailand plant and will be assembled at the Bajaj’s Chakan plant near Pune. This means the new bike will not be attracting 100% duty levied on completely built units but only 11 percent duty for CKD units. The bike will be sold exclusively through Probiking outlets in India and the company intends to sell at least 1000 units of Ninja 250R this year.
