CBR600RR

The stunning new 2009 CBR600RR is set once again to stretch the boundaries of dynamic and visual motorcycle performance. Combining peerless speed on the race track with impeccable road-going manners, this supremely compact and potent new machine allows an ever-wider range of riders to thrive and excel in the saddle.

Among the changes for 2009 are updates to the CBR600?s ultra-compact engine which have improved the torque from 8,000 rpm to 12,000 rpm to give even better driveability and flexibility. The fairing has been improved to enhance stability, and exciting new colour schemes are designed to attract a wider range of image-conscious riders.

FEATURES:

New, stability-enhancing fairing material is added without increasing overall weight of the motorcycle.
Weight savings in the engine, exhaust and chassis achieve an amazingly low 184kg kerb weight, ensuring the CBR600RR remains the the lightest machine in its class.
Sleek new oval-shaped indicators with clear lens and orange bulb enhance the CBR600RR?s aggressive and purposeful styling lines.
Compact and mass centralised 600cc liquid-cooled inline-4 powerplant is lighter than previous model, contributing to overall weight savings.
New piston, cylinder head and muffler improve torque delivery in the range of revs between 8000-12000 rpm.
Extra mid-range performance gives improved drive out of corners both on track and on the road.
New high resistance valve lifter is specially developed for reduced surface pressure and maximum durability.
Redesigned exhaust with new tailpipe and inner pipe shape achieves lighter weight.
New exhaust popup valve system is the same as used in the CBR1000RR Fireblade.
New undercowl, more precise sculpting and new air vents create a more effective airflow at medium and high speeds, resulting in enhanced machine stability, especially in longer, high-speed corners.
